The Conserva Aves Chile initiative invites community-based organizations, indigenous peoples, rural communities, women-led organizations, and nongovernmental organizations interested in biodiversity conservation at the landscape level in general—and in the conservation of threatened, endemic, and migratory birds and their habitats in particular—to apply for grants under this call for proposals. Organizations with an interest in and experience promoting inclusive, community-led conservation are especially encouraged to apply.

The creation of new protected areas that form part of the National System of Protected Areas (Law 21,600), owned and/or managed by one of the entities eligible under this call for proposals.
The expansion of protected areas that are part of the National System of Protected Areas (Law 21,600), where ownership and/or management is held by one of the entities eligible under this call for proposals; and the strengthening of their management plans and financial sustainability.
The designation of an existing protected area under the new National System of Protected Areas (SNAP) in accordance with Law 21,600.
